How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Send you event reminders and notifications
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Protect against fraud and abuse

Product analytics

Flyer uses PostHog for privacy-respecting product analytics. We use route categories and high-level product actions to improve Flyer. For campus, group, and event pages, we may include the campus or Flyer scope and opaque group and event IDs so organizers can understand visibility without collecting full URLs. Our intentional analytics events do not include names, email addresses, phone numbers, group names, event titles, event content, visited URLs, your answers to an event's questions, or other free text. An RSVP is recorded as yes, maybe, or no.

For reliability, server events also record request outcomes, error categories, opaque request and RSVP IDs, and whether contact information is present or answer fields changed. These events do not contain the contact information or answers. We also record how quickly pages load and respond, as a few standard speed measurements per visit tied to the route category.

Autocapture, session recording, and URL-based page tracking are disabled, and Flyer respects your browser's Do Not Track preference.

Browser event payloads also exclude raw user-agent, browser/device details, timezone, screen and viewport data, and session identifiers. They do note whether Flyer is open as an installed app. We use an opaque analytics identifier to connect product events; for signed-in users, this is Flyer's opaque account ID rather than a name or email address.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with group organizers for events you RSVP to, and with service providers who assist in operating our platform.

When you RSVP, we share your name, email address, and phone number with the organizers of that event's group, if you provided them. Other attendees never see your email or phone. If you are signed in, a phone number you enter on an RSVP is also saved to your account to prefill future RSVPs; you can edit or remove the phone number saved to your account on your profile page.

Each group keeps a contact list of people who have RSVP'd to its events: your name, email address, phone number, and which of its events you RSVP'd to. Your entry is kept for 6 months after your last RSVP to that group, then deleted, and the group's organizers may use it to contact you about future events. Members of a group aren't on its contact list; organizers already see them on the member list. You can remove yourself from a group's list on your profile page or from the link in your RSVP confirmation email, or ask the organizers to remove you. RSVPing to that group again adds you back. Deleting your account removes you from every group's list.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time through your account settings. If you wish to delete your account entirely, please contact us at support@joinflyer.com.
